
Joseph Reiser is a composer, conductor, teacher, and specialist in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and the Zlotnik Pivot Harmony System. He teaches a superior level of musicianship, using the methods invented by Dr. Asher Zlotnik in rhythm, ear training, harmonic structures, and composition. A musician from birth, he has pursued a musical career at every step of his life’s journey.
Education
- A music education major at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, he studied privately with Dr. Asher Zlotnik, jazz specialist William Russo, and composer Herb Haslam.
- He became assistant director of the Baltimore Free Theater where he learned the improvisation techniques developed by Chicago’s Second City, Paul Sills and Viola Farber.
- He studied Dalcroze Eurhythmics at the Juilliard School under Dr. Robert Abramson.
- He received a Master’s Degree in Pre-Classic / Baroque Dance forms at New York’s City College under Dr. Jill Beck.
